Chelsea Academy Foundation Update

The Chelsea Academy Foundation is the charitable arm of the Academy and it raises money to pay for additional activities and projects that the core funding from central government does not cover. In 2017-18 the Foundation raised an amazing £150,000.  This money was raised through a variety of channels including fundraising events, bids to trusts and foundations as well as donations from local businesses and individuals.  The money helped to fund field trips for maths, science and geography, projects related to accessing university, creative writing and literacy activities, tutoring for less able students, purchasing 3D printers and extended curriculum activities like rowing and robotics clubs.  Every student at the Academy benefits in some way or another from the additional activities…
