28 Nov Clothing and shoes collection for refugees camp
The 17th November Chelsea Academy Sixth Form students loaded up the minibus and delivered ten large boxes of warm winter clothing and shoes for refugees in a camp in Greece. We were overwhelmed by the donations from across the whole academy community and the amount of help we had to prepare the donations. We even created a ‘school in a box’ with donated stationary and games, arts and crafts material and a whole bag of donated Chelsea Academy winter coats. Students included laminated messages of support and hope in a variety of languages, all sending our prayers and goodwill.
We have been eagerly following the progress of the donations through our lectures and they are now well on their way to Greece.
