The Chelsea Academy Race Team (CART), Xavier (Y10), Skye, Momina and Zios (Y9), competed in the Greenpower race at Goodwood for the third year running. The Angry Gecko Mk2 had been carefully set up with new wheel covers, bodywork and different engine sprockets. As a result, the team managed 3 best ever result.
During the break between races we changed the bodywork on the bottom of the car and in the second heat we were even faster. Unfortunately the chain came off during a pit stop resulting in a ten minute delay for repairs pushing us back down the grid! We are now waiting to find out if our performance was good enough to get us into the national final in October.
