Chelsea Academy was built in 2010 and is set in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. This state of the art building holds a number of exciting facilities that are available for hire.

Over the last four years the Academy has hosted gala charity dinners, staff training sessions, conferences, dance performances, sports events and summer holiday schemes. The versatile space means that we can host a number of different events at the same time. Availability of all spaces is limited to evenings, weekends and school holidays. The spaces for hire include a large sports hall, activities hall, two MUGAs (football pitches), a theatre and a conference room. All facilities are maintained to the highest standards and offer an attractive alternative to expensive conference centres.

Our hire rates are very competitive and we are easily accessible from central London and major transport hubs.

Sports hall

We have a large sports hall (33m x 18m) which can be split into two separate rooms using nets which stretch the width of the room.
This space is ideal for basketball and five-a-side football. It can also be arranged as three badminton courts.

Activities hall

The activities hall (8m x 9m) can be used for a variety of different classes and activities, including dance and exercise.
It has a mirrored wall with a ballet bar, as well as an impressive climbing wall.

Multi-use games areas

The Academy is home to two impressive Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs) that are available for hire for a number of sporting activities, including football matches.
The MUGAs are situated on the first floor roof, and are surrounded by a caged fence. The larger MUGA is full size and has match point two all-weather surfacing.

Conference room

Our conference room (8.7m by 7.9m) is on the first floor and has lots of natural light. It seats 20 boardroom style and 25 classroom style.
It is fully equipped with data projector, interactive smartboard and flip chart.

Theatre

We have an impressive theatre (16m by 9m) that can seat up to 340 people.

It boasts retractable seating, as well as a balcony viewing area. It can be set out in various different conference styles including cabaret, meeting and dining style. The theatre can be used together with our drama room to create an even larger space or to provide break-out space.

There is a stage, projector, full PA system, lighting, lectern and a grand piano.

Classrooms

Our classrooms are perfect as training spaces, break-out rooms or to host meetings. The smallest classroom measures 7.7m x 7.1m while our largest classrooms measure 8.1m x 7.3m.

All classrooms have interactive smart boards.

Café area

The café area is located on the ground floor with easy access to the other facilities. It has a modern feel and would be suitable for a break-out area, lunch or dinner party. It seats 140 people and has a kitchen, food preparation area and a plasma screen.

This space is also suitable for a reception/registration area.
