Project D Students run a science stall at Imperial Festival

Twelve Year 10 students from Chelsea Academy ran a stall at the prestigious Imperial Festival on Friday 6th May. This was the culmination of their work on ‘Project D’, in which they worked with Dr Andy Scott from the Royal Brompton Hospital and staff from Imperial College to learn about his research in MRI scans of human hearts and demonstrate the research for younger students. They called their stall ‘The Hearty Vessel’ and taught students from local primaryschools about diffusion, heart structure and MRI imaging, all while dressed as pirate scientists!
