The Year 10 Drama students worked hard this term to write a play for a specific primary school aged audience. The play had to have a learning point and be entertaining.
We had a group performing as trolls and fairies while teaching about embracing difference to Years 1 & 2, a group teaching about ‘stranger danger’ and ‘tricky people’ to Year 3 & 4 and a group teaching about the importance of ‘telling a teacher’ to Year 5 & 6.
We were invited to Langford Primary School to perform all three at the end of November. The Year 10 students were absolutely amazing and a credit to Chelsea Academy. They performed and then ran workshops in order to ensure the primary schools had understood their chosen message. All the Langford students had a lovely time watching and the Deputy Headteacher, Ms Edwards, was really pleased that our Year 10 students had worked so hard.
Well done Team Drama!
