Young Engineers

On Monday 23rd November, 60 of our Year 8 students took part in an engineering workshop delivered by the organisation 'Young Engineers'. Throughout the morning they designed wind turbines and electric cars using models which they tested then improved under the supervision of the visiting engineers. The purpose was to inspire the students and make them aware of the opportunities open to them if they choose to study STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) after GCSE, and judging by the enthusiasm and maturity our students demonstrated, it was abig success!
