Imperial College InSAR Project – Reflector Fitted at Chelsea Academy

On Tuesday 12th June, we were delighted to welcome Jenny Scoular, a Civil Engineering PhD student at Imperial College, to come into the Academy to speak to Yr 12 Science students about the InSAR project in partnership with Tideway Tunnels. We are working as part of this partnership due to Xavier and Ted winning a poster competition during British Science Week. As part of the project we have had a reflector attached to the roof of the 4th floor at Chelsea Academy, and this will be used to collect data about ground movement during the building of the Tideway Tunnel under the Thames to monitor for subsidence.
