Welcome to Chelsea Academy’s Sixth Form.

More information about the Sixth Form can be found in the prospectus and on the November Sixth Form Update.

Details of the courses we offer and the entry requirements can be found in our course booklet.

Aims and Vision

The Sixth Form opened in September 2011 and is built upon an ethos of high expectations and high aspirations. All students are expected to aspire to achieve their full potential and go to university. Students study and develop in an environment that treats them as unique individuals who are fully supported in all they do and wish to achieve.

There is a wide range of A level courses available in the Sixth Form. All students are expected to study four AS levels in Year 12 and three A levels in Year 13. In some cases, where students have achieved exceptional GCSE results, students may be permitted to study five AS levels or four A levels.

Sixth Form students have a wide range of opportunities available to them. The Academy’s very successful Enrichment programme, which runs on Friday afternoons, is available to Sixth Form students and they are able to run activities for younger students. This is in addition to the extended curriculum clubs and societies that are on offer.

Higher Education

The Academy is committed to supporting all students to be successful in gaining a place at University. We are working with a local charity ‘intoUniversity’ which provides a corporate mentor to work with students through the application process and will continue to support them for their first year at University.

Applications for admission in September 2017 are now closed
